Based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Andrew Kersting is a self-taught artist with a passion for geometry, mandalas, and sacred art of various traditions.

His process in artmaking combines both logic and intuition, using geometry as a framework and exploring that framework with color. While the designs are carefully calculated and planned, his use of color is largely intuitive. There is no model or reference and he never knows what a piece will look like until it’s completed. It is always a process of discovery, an open-eyed meditation that requires quiet focus, a steady hand, patience, and attention to the moment.
